Fro Fro how’d you grow?

Yes you may…

Hello again beauties, I had to do a hair post today since I have freshly washed mine and I am almost fully natural. I have been transitioning for almost 2 years now, except around the 1 and a half year mark I permed my leave-out for my weave application (BIG NO NO). I literally have a patch of hair that is permed on my head and it looks so horrible, so to all the females or guys (you never know) out there transitioning…Be patient, please! It will only benefit you, trust me!!

So, after making the biggest mistake of my life…I have been trimming my hair every week when I wash it and literally slowly but surely I have been cutting away the straight ends. Now my whole head a part from the ‘patch‘ is fully natural *waits for applause*

Any way, I wanted to let you all know of some amazing oils and herbs that can help strengthen, lengthen and better your hair!

1 – Lavender – This can be used to prevent baldness and to encourage new hair growth. It contains potent anti-bacterial agents that soothe and heal scalp infections. It is useful in treating dandruff and adds volume to the hair shaft. A daily rinse of lavender (bring water to a boil, add a few sprigs and reduce to simmer for 20 minutes, then cool) will impart a delightful fragrance and shine to hair.

2 – Pepper Mint Oil – A few drops can be massaged directly into the scalp to stimulate the hair follicles and promote hair growth. It is also a good scalp stimulator but must be diluted before application. Mix 3 drops of oil with 3 teaspoons of water and massage into the scalp.

3 – Jojoba Oil – The molecular makeup of jojoba has similar characteristics to the natural oil the glands of the scalp produce. The oil can be applied directly to your hair or you can add a few drops to your favorite conditioner to promote hair growth.

4- Rosemary – This promotes hair growth and delay the onset of gray hair, Rosemary oil stimulates blood circulation of the scalp. A refreshing daily rinse of Rosemary leaves simmered in water retains hair color.  A few drops of Rosemary Oil can be added to Olive Oil and used as a scalp massage oil.

5 – Jamaican Black Castor Oil works for all hair types. It will moisturize, thicken, strengthen and rapidly increase hair growth. It increases blood flow to the scalp, supplying valuable nutrients to hair follicles. Jamaican Black Castor Oil will also prevent hair breakages, dandruff, eczema and dry, itchy scalp. Aloe Vera is another product to promote hair growth and is also an excellent moisturizer for your hair.

Hope this helps some people out there that are transitioning like me or are natural already. Even if your hair is permed these oils will help your hair from breaking and keep it healthy!!

Please share and let others know to help them on their healthy hair journeys! xx
