Alone ~ Finding yourself

Hey everyone, this post is about finding yourself again. You’re probably thinking “WTF“, well what I mean is sometimes in life you can forget what your main focus is, your goals, your strengths, what you really want to be and how you really want to live.

I have been in a relationship on and off for the past 5 years, and I have found that I have lost myself quite a bit along the way. When I say lost myself, I’m just not the person I was 5 years ago, I was the type of girl that no one could really get onto or say anything to, I didn’t care for opinions, I was motivated and pretty much anything I wanted… I somehow managed to get.

Well as I said that was 5 years ago, but I want to be that person again. Sometimes when you get in a relationship you can become so dependent on your other half, that you begin to change and don’t realise. Don’t get my wrong in thinking relationships are bad, because they aren’t, they can be amazing! But I have found that I have become too dependent on my relationship, and now I need to find myself. Everything essentially begins with you, so before you go blaming your partner or others (if you’re single) take sometime to look at yourself, your behaviour as you might just find that you might be the issue .

So I have began to take sometime to myself to really see what I want from life, within a week of being alone I had already made an achievement and reached one of my goals. I brought a new car!! Not to brag but that just shows me when I put my mind to something I can really achieve it, when I focus, when I’m by myself. What I’m trying to say is whether you’re alone already or in a relationship always put you first, always make time for you. Even if it’s once a week, a day where you just do you, set some goals, get dressed up, look fleeky for no reason! This will really help you and those around you as your mindset can then change and you can essentially find your happiness.

So if you’re reading this post, I want you to take one day this week to yourself and do the following:-

1 – Wake up and be thankful. You’re alive, others aren’t, appreciate it. Thank your creator (mum, dad, god (if you believe in one) anyone).

2 – Stand still for about 30 seconds and open and close your arms very big (this helps boost hormones in the body to help make you more confident)

3 –  Look pretty or handsome for no damn reason!

4 – Eat healthy (You’re body needs care too)

5 – Go out and have fun, or stay in and laze about

6 – Tell someone you love them and mean it

7  – Hug someone

8 – Set some goals (make them achievable)

9 – Tell yourself 3 goods things about yourself or that you like

10 – SMILE

Hope you enjoyed this little read, make sure you manage to complete at least 3 of the above! Let me know which ones you completed if you want 🙂
